TeamVodafone’s Jamie Whincup has finished quickest overall in today’s practice sessions at Winton Motor Raceway while teammate Craig Lowndes ended the day 13th.
Focusing on race set-up throughout Practice 3, Whincup ended the 30 minute session fourth quickest, just two tenths shy of the fastest lap.
Whincup was quick out of the box for the fourth and final session, the defending Champion topped the timesheets in his second lap and stayed there for the remainder of the session.

Also familiarising himself with the Victorian track, Lowndes set the sixth fastest lap in his first session, while working on a race set-up.
The #888 TeamVodafone driver struggled on his second set of tyres in the final practice session and lacked overall pace, ending 20th fastest for the session and 13th for the day.
Tomorrow will see the V8 Supercars hit the track for Qualifying at 1.25pm (AEDST) followed by Race 27 at 4.05pm (AEDST).
