V8SCGlobal.com was originally created in 2012 to champion the V8 Supercars Series to both new and existing fans in the Northern Hemisphere (although it’s certainly attracted a fair share of Australian readers!). While still only a new venture, the UK-based site is looking to establish itself as a leading source of information on the Series outside Australasia and we’re on the lookout for V8 Supercars enthusiasts who would like to join the team and contribute to our cause!
We’re currently looking for people who can be available to write daily news pieces covering both big and small breaking stories and to report on races, but there will also opportunities to write feature articles on a regular basis on different aspects of the Championship.
Ideally, you’ll be based in Australia or New Zealand so that we can get content on the site as stories break “down under” and then signpost it again to readers “up over” at a more suitable hour! However, this isn’t a prerequisite – if you have a good knowledge of, and a genuine passion for V8 Supercars, a good level of written English and CMS experience (WordPress preferably), then drop us an email with samples of your work to editorial@thesupercarscollective.com
We’re also looking for experienced graphic /web designers (or those skilled in website development) who could help us out with one-off bits and pieces, but which will make a big impact on our online presence. If you’re willing to devote a small amount of time (on an ad hoc basis) or want to build your portfolio, get in touch and send us some samples of your work to editorial@thesupercarscollective.com
Whilst we cannot offer any paid positions, we can offer you the opportunity to gain experience and exposure.
