Some of the world’s best motorsport’s biggest international names lined up alongside the Series’ regulars for this wild ride around the concrete canyons! Read what the international co-drivers had to say afterwards:

Mika Salo (Tradingpost FPR)

“… It is very satisfying to win here as we blew it last year and we blew it yesterday so at least now both my kids get a surfboard to play with in the snow back in Finland.”Mika Salo

On Twitter: One I got last year is still on my gym floor at my house,so I guess I don’t know what to do with it but it is nicest trophy I got.

Simon Pagenaud (IRWIN Racing)

“Congratulations to the boys for getting the car back together as from what I saw it was destroyed. The car was really good to drive and I enjoyed my time at the wheel. I have to say Lee is like a rocket ship at the wheel.”

Ricky Taylor (Fujitsu Racing GRM)

After rolling his car following a multi-car pile-up and left hanging upside down in his stricken Holden:
“It was rather uneventful. Kinda saw the sky a couple of different times…”

Max Papis (Jim Beam Racing)

“I saw Ricky Taylor going upside down and I passed right underneath him. It definitely wasn’t something I wanted to see.

Justin Wilson (Pepsi Max Crew)

Darren Turner (Holden Racing Team)

“It was looking good for us today but it just didn’t happen. I’ve had an amazing weekend here and it was great that it was less of a baptism of fire than last time. It still takes time to adjust to the car as it’s so different from anything else but I have loved coming to an event run by racers where everyone competes for the love of racing. It has been an absolute pleasure and I hope to come back again next year so I can get my hands on that surfboard!”

On Twitter: Race 1 like a war today in @v8supercars Internationals really put on a show on how not to start!!! Great race though in the @holden_racing

Peter Dumbreck (Supercheap Auto Racing)

On Twitter: 3 starts, 2 red flags, 2 safety car periods and some great battling in my stint today at Surfers in Aussie V8s. An average day apparently…
